The John Kennedy Memorial Scholarship
This is the primary outreach of the AMOC
About the Scholarship
o The scholarship is presented to High School Seniors from St. Barnabas and Keller ISD.
o The funds provide financial assistance for higher education expenses.
o AMOC works with Keller Center for Advanced Learning (KCAL) to select Keller ISD recipients
o The scholarships are funded by an annual fund-raising event--this year it is a Casino Night
About John Kennedy
o A founding member of St. Barnabas Anglican Church.
o John served in the U.S. Navy nuclear program.
o After leaving the Navy he became a teacher in the Birdville ISD.
o He had a passion for sharing his knowledge with students.
o The scholarship was dedicated to him, following his death in 2015.
